Easter weekend began with a quick trip to the Bay Area to watch a Warriors game. We stayed at Nanie's house and Auntie Sue and crew took very good care of Simon while Brandon and I had a great time at the game.
Simon loved exploring every inch of Nanie's house and it didn't take him long to find a table and chairs just his size.
He was a big help as we set up Nanie's new outdoor lights. I don't think he was used to seeing so much green.
We drove home Saturday afternoon and headed to bed early to get ready for the big day.
Simon had us up extra early, he must have heard the Easter Bunny dropping a basket off near his bed! Simon had a blast opening his special eggs filled with Cheerios, puffs and animal crackers. He also loved the neat animal book that was in his basket. But, his chocolate fix would have to wait until we headed to Nana's house.
We drove to Sparks soon after getting dressed and were definitely ready for brunch! After we ate, the weather was great and Simon and Jimmy had a blast searching for eggs in the backyard. Jimmy was very helpful and put some of his eggs in Simon's basket too.
The kids loved opening their eggs and Simon definitely had his fill of Cars shaped animal cookies.
Simon can't wait for the weather to get nice so that he can wear his cute new shorts and try out his water ball! And, I want to use our cute new placemats and napkins!
We'll definitely be ready for Easter next year, since Simon has insisted we read his new Peter Cottontail music book over and over again.
Next up, we headed to Grandma's house for a tasty ham dinner with Uncle Greg's famous potatoes and Grandma's delicious chocolate bundt cake. Brandon officially declared it his favorite cake!
Lexie looked great in her Easter dress and the kids had a great time playing before dinner.
We can't wait to head to the bookstore to put Grandma's great gift cards to use! Simon definitely needs some new books since he has us reading to him constantly.
